Patient management with maxillary sinus cysts

Cystic lesions of the maxillary sinuses include cysts, polyps and neoplasms. Maxillary sinus cysts are benign that commonly an incidental finding during X–ray, since any symptoms do not accompany their presence. An urgent problem is development differential diagnostics, determination indications for surgical treatment optimal tactics patients with cystic sinuses. The authors describe experience in patient management cysts. 175 (mean age — 44.93 years) were examined surgically operated. All underwent a comprehensive clinical examination aimed at diagnosis pathology: endoscopic endonasal surgery: 135 cases it was conducted via inferior nasal meatus, 40 middle meatus due to large size cyst. Histology confirmed established instrumental examination. postoperative period proceeded no abnormalities. After 6 months, control computed tomography paranasal In all cases, there complete cyst removal restoration pneumatization.
